4 and half years ago, I made the insane decision to leave my entire family and home to move to Canada on my own not knowing what lay ahead.
I arrived on a freezing January morning from Lagos Nigeria to Montreal as a student. After spending 1 year as a student, I became a worker, still on temporary status. Next came permanent residency and with teary eyes, I took my oath of Canadian Citizenship.
Many struggles came but I’m so proud of myself for showing up every time for me. Out of many life’s achievements, this is one I am particularly proud of ❤️
So proud to call 2 countries home 🇳🇬 🇨🇦
